We are in the process of buying this house. It is less than a football field away from our rental house. I just sent in our 30 days notice to our landlord. I am super nervous. And not really looking forward to moving our stuff for the third time since April. On the other hand, we don't really want to be in the rental anymore. The location is great (which is why we jumped on this new house) but there are some other factors that have been quite unpleasant. The new house was a sale by owner, so we had missed it in our search online. The price was AMAZING and so is the house. So now we are waiting on the VA appraiser to get their tukus over to the new house and then we can close... until then we wait.
All that aside we are truly enjoying our time here in Little Rock. We have already had a date night with a BABYSITTER! We went to go see Harry Potter in IMAX!!! I also have been shopping, shopping, shopping. Every store you can imagine is here. I am still trying to get use to rush hour.... REAL rush hour... which can make a 15 minute drive a 45minute trip.
On Friday we have a new parent reception at Braden's new school and then an orientation and meet the teacher on Tuesday.
Mason is here for good. All checked out of Dyess.
Carol and I have been having fun hanging out with the kids. We even had a girls date day, with a movie shopping and lunch. Great fun!

Rent-to-own home is another good option in purchasing a house especially if your funds is not that sufficient for a downpayment and monthly mortgage. Just be open with the seller on some conditions on your contract so that both will have the advantage on the set-up.
