Well, we made it 3 years here in Abilene before finding any snakes.... that is until today....
my lawn guy found it, chopped its head off and put it in the cup.....
he said its a baby rattler... but I can't tell... can you?

I've seen lots of those growing up out here in west Texas and believe me, Julia, that one really is a baby one. No matter what size they are you don't ever like to see them but the majority of the ones you usually see are older and bigger than that one. Was it in your backyard or where? We missed you and the boys at the parade today. We won civic division with the MOPS float today. See you Monday!
Well, Jonathan says it is a baby rattler. Beats me if it is-I am PETRIFIED of snakes. Hopefully I will be able to sleep tonight. :) Luckily I never found one while I lived there or I might have had to move. Glad you did not find it. Hope the lawn guy is nice to look at. :P Sorry it took me a while to respond-we were in TX for a long weekend. Miss you! Martha
