Tonight at dinner Tristan was being fussy. So Braden and I decided to put him in his swing. It helped a bit and Tristan stopped screaming... to which Braden said "Look Momma, Tristan has stopped crying..." I said "Let's not be so sure....don't count your chickens until they've hatched."
And then in hit me like a ton of bricks - It means that not all the baby chicks are going to be born... " I was devastated on two counts. 1) what a horrible saying and 2) how have I gone 32 years on this earth and not figured this out....
Oh the humanity!
