a night out with the girls

I had my second girls night out on Tuesday. This time it was with a friend that I met at the hospital (Michelle) and her friend Sabre.

I was a bit nervous. Being the 3rd wheel in an already established group of ladies can be uncomfortable. I thought, what if we have nothing in common? They have older kids, they are back at work in their careers.... will I fit in?

I needn't have worried. I had a great time laughing with these ladies. It was nice to be able to talked to other moms about what the road ahead was going to look like. It was even more nice when they asked when my birthday was..."February" I replied..."Oh good. that will be a perfect time to get together after the holidays for a movie or something."
