Mike Cope (Highland's preacher) came to speak at our last MOPS meeting. I can remember back in August of 2004 when I first heard him speak at my very first MOPS meeting ever. I cherish the fact that I get to hear him talk.... and as always.... like every time he comes to MOPS ..... he makes me cry.
This time he spoke about seasons. Seasons of our life. He spoke about the complexities of when season's overlap.... especially when your time of rejoicing is also at a time of mourning, and how that is 'okay'. He talked to us about being present in the moment, and finding joy everyday. He said that even in the most difficult times there is a a bit joy and that we should relish the joy for that moment.
