While sitting in traffic at a red light:

"Hey momma, who is that guy over there"

not looking " I don't know, do you recognize him?"

"Yeah..."

"Really? Who does he look like"

"a construction worker"

"oh..." I reply

"why does he have all those fire magazines?"

now I pause, realizing that I should have been paying more attention to the conversation - a construction worker? fire magazines? think think think...

"OH! do you mean the newspaper lady, wearing the orange vest?"

"Yeah... ...she's a lady? but she has a cap on...."

"Yeah well, some ladies wear caps..."
