This guy has been hanging around (no pun intended) our garage for awhile now. Every morning I see him and his HUGE web. It is HUGE... about 2 1/2 feet in diameter. Everyday it gets blown away and he leaves, then in the morning he is back. He works so hard every night to rebuild his web... it really is amazing. He is big too, about the size of a dime (or if you include his legs 25cents). I was able to get up real close and see the silk coming out of his body. I picked Braden up and he was fascinated too. He decided to create a tribute to our spider.
I love that he drew a smile on the spider. I am not afraid of spiders at all. I don't worry about them. I don't kill them and I am not a spaz if I happen to see one. They are on my team... along with frogs and bats.... to help rid the earthy of FLIES (whom I can't stand).
So for now Mr. Spider is our outside pet. It's kinda nice sharing my space with another living creature who doesn't bite or make repetitive chirping noises.
